That’s correct – we have developed a paint that breaks down odours. We said we were innovators!
At Sto, we are all very proud of StoClimasan Color, the worlds first interior paint that can remove bad smelling odours using non U.V light sources (i.e. artificial light). As long as the light is on, the air within the room will be deodourised.
How does it work?
In basic terms, there is an active ingredient within the paint mix that uses light for energy.
This active ingredient attacks odours caused by organic compounds when they come into contact with the painted surface. Much like a white blood cell attacking a germ. The organic compounds are then broken down into trace amounts of their constituent parts, water and carbon-dioxide.
The result is a fresh smelling interior. For best results, the source of the bad small needs to be removed.
Ecologically safe
As with all of our interior paints, StoClimasan Color contains absolutely no solvents, plasticisers or VOC’s.
