*The petrifaction process
As StoSil Color coats a mineral substrate, a chemical reaction occurs.
The potassium silicate binder causes the paint to fuse with the substrate, creating one integral surface.
The resulting microcrystalline structure allows a high degree of vapour diffusion, while the pores remain small enough to prevent the ingress of driving rain.
This petrifaction process is unique to silicate paints and plasters, not only decorating the surface, but protecting it.
