Oxfam Unwrapped - Online Sales of Sto paints help to fight Aids
As part of Sto’s commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility, Sto signed an agreement with Oxfam* at the beginning of 2008 to contribute towards the OxfamUnwrapped.com campaign to provide condom kits where needed in the developing world to help fight the spread of HIV and Aids.
Oxfam is a development, relief and campaigning organisation that works with others to overcome poverty and suffering around the world. They run a campaign called ‘OxfamUnwrapped.com’ where donations are put towards buying ‘gifts’ from donkeys, portable toilets to condoms etc.
Sto has committed to donate 5% of its online sales from stoshop.co.uk of StoLotusan Color and StoClimasan Color paints to the OxfamUnwrapped campaign. So far this has raised just over £4,000.
Healthy Paints from Sto
StoLotusan Color is the patented, self-cleaning façade masonry paint – its performance having been ably demonstrated last year in a ‘mud test’ by Kevin McCloud on a programme of ‘Grand Designs’.
StoClimasan Color is an interior paint that is unique in being able to break down odours via natural/artificial light.
Sto paints are free of harmful plasticisers and solvents – otherwise known as Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC’s).
